Unworthy

The worth of God is revealed through his son, Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice at Calvary, including his death and resurrection, grants us salvation. We obtain this salvation through faith, repentance, and daily turning to God.

“Being “worthy” of a gracious Savior includes a sense of unworthiness” (John Piper)

First, let’s address how we got here in the first place. If you’re a believer then you have been told the creation story time and time again. If you’re an unbeliever then you’ll get to read how you were brought into this world. In Genesis (creation or beginning) we’re given the layout of how everything was created. From the land to the sea, from plants to the animals, and then the most amazing creation of all… Mankind.

We’re told that everything created by God was good, man was made, and it was good. The man was made to rule over every living thing. He had no suitable helper and that was not good. Because this wasn’t good God put him to sleep and took from his rib and created him a suitable helper, a woman.
